About Promising Pathways
Your involvement directly supports Promising Pathways, a charity started by the Seamone family that is dedicated to breaking barriers to education and creating economic stability. To date, we’ve awarded $9,500 in scholarships for postsecondary education to:
🎓 Low-income single parents
🎓 Hard-of-hearing students
🎓 Students at Uganda Nursing School Bwindi (UNSB)
This year, we’re also expanding our impact by launching low-cost career coaching services for single parents and individuals with disabilities and providing funds to impactful education and career initiatives around the world.
Higher education is considered the most reliable and promising pathway to long-term economic security as well as other positive outcomes for individuals and their families (including higher earnings, improved health and well-being, benefits for dependent children, and reduction in need for public assistance). Ultimately postsecondary education leads to work with livable and sustainable wages, helps to break the cycle of poverty, and benefits for family members and communities.
How the Scholarships Are Managed
Two scholarships are hosted on Bold.org, a secure online platform that connects students to scholarship opportunities and ensures funds go directly to recipients' tuition.
The UNSB Scholarship is managed through the Kellermann Foundation, which started and runs the UNSB, and is a nonprofit that supports health, education, and economic empowerment for the Batwa people and Bwindi community.
Join Us Today!
We hope you can join us and help students build financially stable, secure, and promising futures for themselves and their families. Together we can make a difference!
